Do it yourself clean install / problem solving
It somesime happens that the application is having trouble caused by a invalid configuration or statefile.
If you want to start all-over with a clean installation: use the following steps to start with a fresh install.

NOTE: Make sure you have all the usenet server settings at hand, all settings will be reset!

 

 

Automatic cleanup

  1. Download Cleanup Application here
  2. Unzip if download is still zipped
  3. Start “CleanupNZBVortexApp”

 

 

Manual cleanup

  1. Quit NZBVortex
  2. Delete NZBVortex from your Applications folder.
    Drag NZBVortex from Applications folder to your Trash.
  3. Execute steps below “Downloaded from Mac App Store” or “Downloaded from site
 
Downloaded from Mac App Store 
  1. Open Finder
  2. Press CMD-Shift-G
    This will open a “Go to the folder:” sheet.
  3. Enter ~/Library/Containers/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex/Data/Library
    INCLUDING the ~ character in front of it!
    And click the Go button
  4. Delete the following:
    Application Support/NZBVortex
    Preferences/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex.plist
  5. After the optional Thorough cleanup mentioned below; redownload the app from the Mac App Store

  1. Open Finder
  2. Press CMD-Shift-G while Finder is top window
    This will open a “Go to the folder:” sheet.
  3. Enter ~/Library
    INCLUDING the ~ character in front of it!
    And click the Go button
  4. Delete the following:
    Application Support/NZBVortex
    Preferences/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex.plist
  5. Open application “Keychain access” via Spotlight (top right looking glass)
  6. Search for and delete “NZBVortex license” in login keychain
  7. After the optional Thorough cleanup mentioned below; redownload the app from this site
 
Thorough cleanup
  1. Thorough caches cleanup (optional):
    1. Download Onyx
    2. Start Onyx
    3. Select “Automation” tab
    4. Select all checkboxes
    5. Press execute
