Do it yourself clean install / problem solving
It somesime happens that the application is having trouble caused by a invalid configuration or statefile.
If you want to start all-over with a clean installation: use the following steps to start with a fresh install.
NOTE: Make sure you have all the usenet server settings at hand, all settings will be reset!
Automatic cleanup
- Download Cleanup Application here
- Unzip if download is still zipped
- Start “CleanupNZBVortexApp”
Manual cleanup
- Quit NZBVortex
- Delete NZBVortex from your Applications folder.
Drag NZBVortex from Applications folder to your Trash. - Execute steps below “Downloaded from Mac App Store” or “Downloaded from site“
- Open Finder
- Press CMD-Shift-G
This will open a “Go to the folder:” sheet. - Enter ~/Library/Containers/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex/Data/Library
INCLUDING the ~ character in front of it!
And click the Go button - Delete the following:
Application Support/NZBVortex
Preferences/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex.plist - After the optional Thorough cleanup mentioned below; redownload the app from the Mac App Store
- Open Finder
- Press CMD-Shift-G while Finder is top window
This will open a “Go to the folder:” sheet. - Enter ~/Library
INCLUDING the ~ character in front of it!
And click the Go button - Delete the following:
Application Support/NZBVortex
Preferences/com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex.plist - Open application “Keychain access” via Spotlight (top right looking glass)
- Search for and delete “NZBVortex license” in login keychain
- After the optional Thorough cleanup mentioned below; redownload the app from this site
- Thorough caches cleanup (optional):
- Download Onyx
- Start Onyx
- Select “Automation” tab
- Select all checkboxes
- Press execute
